Kamrup (M) Reports 14% of COVID-19 Deaths, Higher than Natl Avg

Kamrup (M) is among the 13 districts in India concentrated in 8 states and Union Territories which has reported 9% of the country's active COVID-19 cases and 14% of fatality which is higher than the national Case Fatality Rate (CFR), according to Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

The health ministry report said that the national CFR is 2.04%.

The report also said that the active cases districts include Kamrup (M) in Assam, Patna in Bihar, Ranchi in Jharkhand, Alappuzha and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, Ganjam in Odisha, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, 24 Parganas North, Hooghly, Howrah, Kolkata and Maldah in West Bengal and Delhi.

Notably, Assam registered 132 deaths of COVID-19 while the numbers of active cases stand at 16552. The state reported 55496 cases of COVID-19 so far.
