Kaziranga reopens today

TheKaziranga National Park will be opened for tourists from today. Chief MinisterSarbananda Sonowal will officially reopen the park for 2019-20 season.

Kazirangaauthorities have informed that the Jeep Safari in Kohora and Bagori will alsobe open for tourists but the elephant safari will be closed till furthernotice. The authorities also informed that the tourists will be able to visittill a restricted area as the pathways are not in good condition due to the badweather.

DFOof the park, Rohini Ballav Saikia said that they will open the park fortourists as many tourists come to visit the park in this season. The park was scheduled toreopen on October 1, but it was postponed till today as the recent flood haddestroyed all the roads along with watchtowers in the park.
