A massive landslide occurred at Baithalangso-Guwahati connecting roadin Karbi Anglong due to the prevailing bad weather condition.

Following the landslide, road communication has been disrupted at Bhaksong along the Baithalangso-Guwahati road affecting vehicular traffic on Wednesday.

Trees uprooted in different parts of the areas disrupting communicationand causing inconvenience for the commuters to cross the road. However, therewas no report of any casualty.

In a bid to clear the traffic, the locals sprung into action to clearthe road which blocked the roads with mud, trees and boulders.

Meanwhile, unabated downpour continued to lash across the statedamaging houses, felling trees and disrupting electricity supply in severaldistricts since Tuesday night.
