Acting on a tip-off, police on Sunday seized a large quantity of heroin in Shilbhanga area of Jagiroad.

A substantial amount of money as well as few brass statues were also recovered along with the drugs.

Jagiroad police arrested a drug peddler identified as one Abul Kasem in connection to the case.
