Leopard caged in Golaghat’s Japisajia

Aleopard was captured in Japisajia area on the outskirts of Golaghat town. Japisajiaarea has turned into a haven for the leopard which was suspected to have comefrom the adjacent tea gardens.

TheForest department laid a trap to catch the wildcat which had killed severalcattle in the area.

Earlier,the locals had informed the Forest officials about the leopard which wasfrequently spotted in the area for past one month.

Theleopard was caged on Thursday morning.
