Locals conduct lottery to repair dilapidated road at Tamarhat

Pratidin Bureau

Dismayed with the government not taking any step to repair the DK Road, which connects Dhubri and Kokrajhar districts, the locals of the region have decided to conduct a lottery. Profit from the lottery shall be used for repairing the road, which falls under the jurisdiction of Tamarhat Police Station.

It may be mentioned here that the dilapidated condition of DK Road had found its place in the news earlier too.

Locals have also alleged that the MLA as well as state government has turned their back towards the issue.

The lottery has been organised by an NGO 'Sajal Foundation' in association with Tamarhat Auto Drivers' Committee.
