Long-Term Driver of Tarun Gogoi Expresses Grief on His Demise

Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi's driver Lakhi Mohan Singh who was working for long has also expressed grief over the sad demise of the veteran politician.

Singh worked with Gogoi since he became the chief minister in 2001 and till the last day worked with him. "It was very sad to learn about the death of Gogoi Sir. He was a very kind person and always maintained a friendly behaviour with us. He used to keep note of my family as well. I am like his son and today I felt that I have lost my father," said Gogoi while speaking to Pratidin Time.

Singh further said that Gogoi used to talk while they travelled in the car. "Gogoi Sir and I used to have our personal conversation in the car. Sometimes he forgets as where he was travelling to and I used to remind him. I will miss Gogoi Sir," Singh said with his teary eyes.

Singh who is a government driver has been appointed from SB headquarter as the driver of Tarun Gogoi in 2001.
