Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Assam police on Thursday seized several Lakhs of unaccounted cash from different parts of the State.

Police recovered Rs. 3 lakh in cash from a vehicle in Nalbari. A lady brought the cash in the vehicle from Kokrajhar. On the other hand, Flying Squad has seized several lakhs of unaccounted cash in Demow. The cash has been recovered from two BJP workers identified as Diganta Baruah and Litul Gogoi.

Similarly, after seizing Rs. 66 lakh from the NH in Dabaka, a team of flying squad recovered Rs. 1 lakh 77 thousand in cash from a man identified as Amarjit Singh.
