Majuli ferry services again stalled

Aftertwo positive COVID-19 cases reported in Jorhat district on Saturday night,Majuli District administration informed that passenger ferriesconnecting Jorhat have been suspended with immediate effect.

However, the ferries for emergency medical services andtransportation of essential goods are ready so that the island's residents faceno hassle.

Earlier, Majuli district administration had allowed movement of passenger ferries between Majuli and Jorhat on Tuesday.
