TheKarimganj Police on Tuesday arrested a man on charges of posting pro-Pakistancomments on his Facebook account. The man has been identified as Abdul Wahid.

Thecomments praising Pakistan and derogatory remarks about India posted on hisaccount had led to tension in Karimganj town.

"Policeswung into action swiftly and detained Wahid," Karimganj SP said.

Onquestioning, Wahid revealed that he was in contact with some people in Barpetaand Lanka.

Policehave slapped sections of IT Act and IPC against Wahid and are conductingfurther investigations.
