In anotherincident of extortion, a person had been attacked with sharp objects thismorning in Guwahati.

The victimnamed Tajul Islam was attacked by one Amir Khan after the former failed to pay themoney which had been demanded from him as extortion.

Khandemanded an amount of Rs. 8 Lakh as extortion from Islam to be able to residein the city's Bhetapara area.

Accordingto reports, the victim, who sustained injuries in his hands and neck, had beenattacked while he was parking his car this morning.
