In a sensational incident, a person has died after he was hit by a train at No.4 Rail-gate in Santipur area of Guwahati on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Bishnu Agarwala. The accident took place during the morning rush hours.

Meanwhile, police after reaching the spot started an investigation. "A man was struck by the Kamrup Express. The deceased was a resident of Santipur area," said a police officer.
