Man set on fire by in laws in Mariani

In yet another sensational incident, a man was allegedly set on fire by his in-laws in Selenghat under Mariani on Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as Munna Ali.

Munna Ali, originally from Golaghat visited his in-laws in Selenghat, where he was allegedly set on fire by his brother-in-law Ramjan Ali.

According to reports, Munna Ali was involved in a dispute with his wife, after which Ramjan Ali allegedly set fire on Munna. Later Munna's daughter revealed the incident to reporters.

Meanwhile, family of Munna Ali have filed an FIR in Selenghat police station against Ramjan and his family regarding the incident and demanded strict action against them. "We are probing the matter and a case has been registered against the accused under relevant section," informed a police official.
