Manipur Governor donates one day salary to flood victims

Governor of Manipur Najma Heptulla has donated her one day salary to the Governor Relief fund for flood victims.

Speaking to the media at Raj Bhavan on Friday, the Governor said that all the staff of Raj Bhavan will also donate their one day salary to the relief fund.

She also appealed to the people of the state to donate whatever they can and contribute to people who are in need.

Heptulla informed that she had a discussion with Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Union DoNER Minister on precautionary measures that can be taken up by the government for the flood affected people.

Centre government is also aware of the situation, said Heptulla adding, the Raj Bhavan will not celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday considering the grim situation that has affected large number of people.
