Mankachar floodwaters submerge BSF camp

The Border Security Force camp situated in Deyane Alga at Mankachar of South Salamara-Mankachar district is affected severely due to soil erosion in the river banks triggered by heavy rains causing floods.

90% of the camp has submerged in the floodwaters of the river. Presently, the BSF personnel are sheltered in ferries and boats.

Furthermore, more than half of Deyane Alga Lower Primary School has been washed away by the river.
