Massive fire breaks out at Borkhola

A devastating fire broke out at ChandranathpurBazar in Borkhola area under Cachar district on Thursday night. During theincident, at least six people sustained serious injuries.

According to reports, the firegutted more than 15 shops. One of the injured has been admitted to SilcharMedical College and Hospital (SMCH) for further treatment.

Four firefighters reached thespot immediately after the incident was reported. Properties worth severallakhs gutted in the fire.

Locals said that an LPG cylinderexplosion triggered the fire.
