Meghalaya: 33 New Cases of COVID-19 Detected

Meghalaya registered 33 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday taking the state's tally to 856. The state has 631 active cases including the new cases detected today.

DHS (MI), Dr Aman War said that the new positive cases include 26 from East Khasi Hills, three from Ri Bhoi, one each from West Garo Hills, East Jaiñtia Hills, West Jaiñtia Hills and West Khasi Hills districts.

Dr War said that out of 33 positive cases, 10 of them are armed forces, four BSF, and 19 others.

He also informed that seven patients have recovered from the infection which includes six BSF personnel and one civilian, taking the total recovery to 220.

There are 527 active cases only in East Khasi Hills district alone.
