Meghalaya: 52 Samples Test Negative of COVID-19

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday night confirmed that another 52 samples tested negative of COVID-19 in the state.

Sangma said that the 52 tests were carried out by the NorthEastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Science(NEIGRIHMS).

The chief minister took to twitter to announce the result of the patients. He wrote, "Got result of 52 more tests conducted in NEIGRIMS Shillong out of which 26 samples were from Nongpoh, and all the 52 tests have come out as negative."

However, another fifty tests which are carriedout at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) were also negative and theresults of another 43 tests at Barpeta Medical College and Hospital are yet tocome.

Earlier, 68 tests were carried out, out of which, 6 were foundpositive, and 6 were sent for reconfirmation who are linked with the deceasedCOVID-19 patient of a doctor of Bethany Hospital in Shillong.
