In a sensational incident in Barpeta town, a minor girl was attacked by unknown miscreant with a sharp weapon on Tuesday evening. The incident took place at Brindabanhati area in the town.

As perthe reports, the girl with serious injuries admitted to the hospital. The miscreantfled from the scene immediately after committing the crime.

"The youth immediately escaped from the scene, before we reached," said an eyewitness. "However, we have identified the motorcycle number, it was AS-15-L-3097," added the eyewitness.

Meanwhile, police after registering a case initiated an investigation.
