Miscreants attack Sonitpur BJP office

Unidentified miscreants on Thursday night attacked an office of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tezpur. The miscreants also set the banners and posters of the office on fire.

According to reports, morning joggers on Friday saw burnt posters and banners and informed members of BJP, after which the saffron party workers reached the office.

Though the office was not damaged, the Sonitpur District BJP has lodged a complaint to the police following the incident. Meanwhile, police and CRPF have been deployed to prevent any untoward situation.

It should be noted that the Sonitpur District BJP office was recently shifted to Majgaon from Hazarapar.
