Miscreants looted UBI customer in Lanka

A robbery has taken place at Lanka in Hojai district on Saturday.

Reportedly, the incident has taken place in front of the State Bank of India (SBI) branch of Lanka, where a group of miscreants looted Rs 40,000 cash from a person identified as Rupan Dey.

As per reports, after withdraws the money from the United Bank of India's (UBI) Lanka Branch Dey parked his bike in front of the SBI branch, along with the bag of money. At a sudden, the miscreants looted the bag and fled away from the scene immediately.

It may be stated that Dey filed a case in Lanka police station and police have already started investigation in this regard.
