Assam MLA Sherman Ali Ahmed was suspended from the AssamLegislative Assembly (ALA) for the day today by Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami forrefusing to stop asking supplementary questions on New Land Policy.

When Ahmed continued to raise supplementary questions despitethe Speaker's repeated reminders, Goswami warned him to stop else he would besuspended for the day.

Ahmed insisted "I am not going. The issue I have raisedis on human rights violence".

Upon the arrival of the Assembly Marshals on being summoned by the Speaker to physically remove him, Sherman left the House stating he was walking out in protest against his questions not being replied.

MLA Sherman Ali Ahmed was expelled from the primary membership of the AIUDF for his anti-party activities earlier also.
