Mob attacks two on suspicion of being child lifters

The terror of child lifters has been spreading like a virus across Assam. In another shocking incident in the State, two men were brutally attacked by the mob on suspicion of being child lifters.

The incident took place at Sengtimari village under Golakganj Police Station on Wednesday evening when both Saddam Hussain and Mainul Haque were visiting the area.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered by the police and an investigation has been initiated. So far five people have been detained in connection with the incident.

Notably, the mob had suspected both of them to be child lifters in the wake of rumours being circulated across Dhubri district.
