Mohammedan SC lifts 65th Bordoloi Trophy

Mohammedan Sporting Club of Kolkata lifted the prestigious Bordoloi Trophy on Thursday at the Nehru Stadium in Guwahati. The Mohammedan Sporting Club lifted the 65th edition of Bordoloi Trophy by defeating Oil India by 3-1.

For Mohammedan Sporting Club, Philip Adzah scored 2 goals and named the 'Best Player' of the tournament while Latu Mandal of Mohammedan Sporting Club walked away with the 'Best Goalkeeper' award.

Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal attended final match of the 65th Bharat Ratna Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Football Tournament 2018 between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Oil India.

"Bordoloi Trophy was regarded as one of the premier football tournaments in #SEAsia. It is our responsibility to reinstate this prestigious tournament to its past glory. Tournaments like this must encourage our youth to embrace sports," CM Sonowal tweeted after attending the final match.
