Assam police on Monday seized 1 kg of morphine from a bus in Karbi Anglong and arrested two persons in connection to the same.

As per reports, the morphine was recovered during a routine checking of vehicles at Laharijan outpost checkpoint today afternoon.

The morphine was packed in two packets that belonged to two passengers.

While one of the arrestees hails from Bihar, the other is a resident of Nagaland.
