The mortal remains of Colonel Manoranjan Goswami were brought to Guwahati from Mumbai on Saturday morning. His body was then carried to his residence at Lalganesh, Guwahati.

Family members of Col Goswami informed that his last rites will be performed at the Bhootnath crematorium in the city.

Col Goswami, father of journalist Arnab Goswami, died following age related illness on Thursday night. He was regarded as a great social commentator and also a veteran BJP leader who unsuccessfully contented several elections for BJP, when BJP was nowhere near present strength.
