The Assam Association, Mumbai has celebrated the 93rd birth anniversary of legendary singer Dr. Bhupen Hazarika on Sunday.
Noted Assamese singers and local artistes of Mumbai have performed onthe songs of Hazarika in the function held at Assam Bhawan in Mumbai.
President of Assam Association, Mumbai, Dr. Jyotirmoy Das has welcomedthe guests with his introductory speech talking about Dr. Hazarika.
Artistes like Gokul Puri, Jamina Ahmed, Mridusmita Hazarika, NilamBordoloi, Monika Bhardwaj, Rupam Mahanta, Santa Borkotoky, Gautam Kalita,Paramita Sarma, Debojit Saikia and Trisha Kaushik have made the evening breathtakingwith their performance with Bhupendra sangeet.
Other than these artistes, singer Anindita Paul and Keshab Baruah havealso performed on the occasion of the 93rd birth anniversary of Dr.Bhupen Hazarika organized jointly by Assam Association and Assam Bhawanauthorities.
