Mumbai street, flyover after Bhupen da

Maharashtra Government made an announcement that Mumbai will soon have a street or flyover named after music legend Dr Bhupen Hazarika. Maharashtra Government made the announcement in this regard on Saturday paying tribute to the maestro on his 92nd birth anniversary.

Assam Finance and Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and National general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sunil Deodhar called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis  discussed the issue. The duo also told the media that Devendra Fadnavis had assured them of taking the matter in a positive light.

Deodhar said that Mumbaikar's have massive respect for the music legend as he had been involved with art and culture of the city and spent a major part of his life in Mumbai.
