Naga Pact | Assam Need Not To Worry: Sonowal

Amidst a renewed agitation in the State over the impact of a possible peace pact with the Naga outfits on Assam and uproar over privatization move of NRL, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday met Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval in New Delhi.

After the meeting, Sonowal said before media that people should not worry about these issues. BJP govt is committed to protecting the cultural and social identity of the people in this region. 

In the statement, the Chief Minister also added that he already urged Shah to justify the privatization move of NRL.

The meeting was held at Home Minister Amit Shah's residence.
