Nagaon: COVID+ Inmates Not Treated As They Escape From Hospital

Pratidin Bureau

An under-trial COVID-19 patient was sent back from Nagaon Civil Hospital to Nagaon Central Jail.

The under-trial, whose name is Abdul Gafur, was at the COVID Care Centre of the said Hospital.

Meanwhile, the officials at the Nagaon Central Jail are reportedly in a soup. Police suspects jail inmates of running away from the hospital, which is why 4 COVID-19 patients have not been sent for treatment to the hospital.

Along with the one who was sent back from the hospital today, a total of 5 such positive patients are kept in a separate room inside the jail.
