NESO organizes candlelight Vigil at India gate

The north-eastern students of Delhi on Wednesday evening took part in lighting candle in honour of martyes in front of India gate. The event, which was organised by North East Students' Organization (NESO) in association with All Assam Students' Union (AASU) witnessed the presence of hundreds of students from the NE States, who are studying in Delhi.

They also offered prayer for those, who sustained injuries during the two and half year long protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.

Speaking on the occasion, NESO leader Samujjal Kumar Bhattacharya thanked all its component organizations, social and women organizations and political parties that opposed the Bill.

Janata Dal (United) leader KC Tyagi was also present during the event.
