No re-examinations for P and RD, announces Naba Doley

Pratidin Bureau

After all the hue and cry during the Panchayat and Rural Development (P and RD) Department examinations on Sunday, Minister Naba Doley during a press meet, has declared that re-examinations will not be conducted.

Other than two or three centres, exams were conducted with decorum and peacefully in all the examination centres, said Doley.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has ordered a high level probe into the matter. The probe has been handed over to Commissioner and Secretary of P and RD, JB Ekka and the former has asked to submit the reports of investigation as early as possible.

There was a lot of fuss regarding alleged paperleaks of the aforementioned exams through WhatsApp. Along with paperleaks, there was also chaos in the Rangiya examination Centre which was reportedly due to shortage of question papers in the centre.  Pertaining to the shortage, exams could not start at the designated time given.

CM has also informed that strict actions will be taken against those found guilty in this regard.
