No shortage of fund for flood affected and their rehabilitation: CM Sonowal

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has said there is no shortage of fund for flood affected people across the state and for their rehabilitation works in a meeting in Karimganj.

The Chief Minister has also directed local authorities in the Barak valley to review flood relief measures weekly.

He said "There will be no tolerance to any kind of corruption or negligence in relief work". He had reached Karimganj district on Saturday to assess the flood situation in the valley.

Sonowal also had a brief interaction with prominent citizens and media persons. "We are trying our best to provide all relief to people. I appeal to the civil society to remain watchful so that no corruption can take place in relief measures" he said.
