NorthEast United face the Jamshedpur heat today

Pratidin Bureau

In the second of two back to back away games, NorthEast United FC take on Jamshedpur FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Saturday. The Highlanders are yet to lose on the road this season and will eye a 5th straight away win to bolster their position in the Top 4 even more. Similarly, the men from the Steel City would also like to maintain their unbeaten home record intact'.

For United, this has been their best ever start to an ISL season and the foreign recruits have played their part very successfully. The likes of Bartholomew Ogbeche and Juan Cruz Mascia have been firing goals since the last couple of games and their fans back home will expect nothing less this time as well. In the midfield, playmaker Federico Gallego has been the real pivot for the squad. The youngsters have also stepped up quite well and coach Eelco Schattorie would believe his side has it in them to pass the Jamshedpur test come matchday.

The Steelers meanwhile, have been benefitted by the presence of Memo, Mario Arques and Carlos Calvo to name a few. In the backline, Tiri has been an absolute rock and NorthEast must devise strategies to get past the Spaniard's defenses. Cesar Ferrando knows the importance of this particular encounter and would hope to secure all three points.

In the reverse fixture played on 25th October at Guwahati, both teams played out a 1-1 draw with Komorski being sent off. Both teams will miss the services of at least one foreign player as Sergio Cidoncha (JFC) and Augustine Okrah (NEUFC) are nursing injuries
