Noted theatre artiste Dilip Ranjan Dutta has passed away on Wednesday morning at Jorhat Mission Hospital. He was 59 at the time of his death.

Duttawas a noted theatre artist of Bhramyaman Theatre and he was leading in thetheatre for around three decades.

Dutta also acted at Kohinoor Theatre, Bhagyadevi and Mukunda theatre. Some of his noted theatres are 'Bhoi', 'Sagaroloi Bohu Dur', 'Ashlil', 'Jalpadma', 'Maharaja' etc.

TheCultural Journalist Association, Assam has also mourned the demise of theactor.
