NRC claims-objections to be disposed as per rules: SC

Pratidin Bureau

The Supreme Court (SC) today in a hearing on NRC claims and objections stated that the process be disposed of as per rules.

Meanwhile our correspondents today toured various hearing centres of Nagaon and found there are not a single complainants. Our Nagaon correspondent Biren Bora toured Nagaon Mahapezkhana, Nagaon circle office and Bebejia School.

The AASU has come under severe flak for orchestrating these complaints but not backing up neither any substance nor being present as a complaint kicking up a major problem.

This is the pattern in almost all the hearing centres as the NRC authorities are flummoxed that there are no complaints yet thousands of people have turned to give their side of documents.

Final NRC list has to be published on July 31, 2019,reiterated SC.

The hearing was proceeded by a two member bench headed byChief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi. The next date of hearing has been slated to July10.
