Odisha: Bezbaruah’s house to be completed within Feb

The renovation work of Sahityarathi LakhminathBezbaruah's house in Odisha's Sambalpur is likely to be completed withinFebruary next year. This was informed to Commissioner cum Secretary of Culturaldepartment of Assam government Preetom Saikia, who visited Odisha and heldtalks with his counterpart at Bhubaneswar.

The Engineers of INTACH elaborated on the Detail Project Report (DPR) and the design of the Sadhana Griha and living house to Saikia. He was also informed that the estimated budget for the renovation of Bezbaruah's House at Sambalpur is being hiked.

Speaking to media, Saikia said, "Government of Assam and people of Assam are obliged to the Odisha government for providing a fund of rupees fifty lakhs and extending all help for the renovation of Bezbaruah's house." The government of Assam has already provided Rs. 50 lakhs for the renovation work and Saikia added, "Assam government is ready to provide more funds according to requirements."
