The old Saraighat bridge over Brahmaputra will remain closed for three months starting from Friday.

The district administration has taken the decision to close the bridge from 6 AM tomorrow to carry out repair works.

Meanwhile, to assure smooth movements of vehicles, Guwahati Traffic Police will install temporary dividers over the new bridge. Also movements of heavy vehicles will be restricted during the day hours over the bridge.
