One detained in Guwahati Railway Station, drugs seized

The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Sunday morning detained one with ten packets of drugs valued more than 12 lakhs. Based on a secret tip-off, the peddler had been caught red handed by the GRP.

Identified as Anuwer (25) of Imphal East District in Manipur was apprehended from platform No. 1 of Guwahati Railway Station allegedly for carrying illicit drugs. Reportedly, he was about to board in down Kamrup Express train with 10 packets of Brown sugar weighing 125 grams.

"Follow up action is being initiated in this regard," informed a GRP official. "Value of the contraband item seized will be around Rs 12,50,000 in black markets," added the official.Drugs
