One dies in Dibrugarh village attack

Tensed situation still prevailed in Ram Singh village in Dibrugarh after the sensational incident that took place last night. As per the latest reports, one person succumbed to his injuries on Sunday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Muruli Jadav.

On the other hand, one of the critically injured hasbeen admitted to the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH).

It may be mentioned here that the miscreants set fire on a number of houses in the village and attacked several people with sharp weapons.

"It is the work of miscreants. We have registered acase against unidentified persons. Investigations are on," said a Dibrugarhpolice officer.

Meanwhile, the locals alleged that the Takam MisingPorin Kebang (TMPK) members were demanding money from the people and when theyrefused to give money to them they attacked them.
