Patharkandi under the impact of flood for 2nd time in a month

Flood has affected Patharkandi in Karimganj district for the second time within a period of one month. More than 100 villages in Karimganj district are presently under the impact of flood.

The flood has been triggered by incessant rain as well as water flowing from Mizoram.

Around 30 metres of embankments have broken at Bada area of South Karimganj.

Locals have alleged that the water resources department had failed to take any measure earlier which has led to the present situation in the region.
