Pema Khandu sworn-in as Arunachal Pradesh CM

BJP leader Pema Khandu on Wednesday took oath as the10th Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. Governor BD Mishra administered theoath of office and secrecy to Khandu at a function organised at the DorjeeKhandu Convention Centre in Itanagar.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein along with ten other Cabinet ministers were also administered oath. Apart from six sitting cabinet ministers, deputy speaker Tumke Bagra, two sitting MLAs Mama Natung and Tage Taki and two newcomers Taba Tedir and Nakap Nalo were inducted in the ministry with cabinet rank.

Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal along with Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, his deputy Y Patton, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb and Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh along with BJP general secretary Ram Madhav were among others who attended the swearing-in ceremony.

The Assembly elections were held simultaneously with Lok Sabha elections that witnessed BJP winning 41 seats in the 60-member House.
