People show support to Pratidin Time’s #SayNoToPollution campaign.

Diwali a festival of lights is here. Pratidin Time's initiative of a #SayNoToPollution campaign in diwali has bore fruits, as many across Assam have accepted it with their actions.

On Tuesday, after 10 pm, the sound of fire crackers had declined as compared to previous years which helped in reducing sound pollution. This outcome has only been possible due to people of Assam's environment consciousness.

Simultaneously, Guwahati Police, abiding by the Supreme Court's prohibitory order to not burst fire crackers after 10 pm, launched a patrolling in several parts of the city.

During the operation, which was led by ACP Himangsu Das, large amount of fire crackers were also seized.

People's support towards Pratidin Time's initiative has brought about a huge change which has a promise to help future generations.
