CongressMLA Jakir Hussain Sikdar Tuesday demanded the house arrest Hojai BJP MLA ShiladityaDev after the publication of National Register of Citizens (NRC).

Sikdar, while speaking to media, said, "The Chief Minister should place MLA Shilditya dev under house arrest to maintain law and order situation in the State on the day of NRC publication, as his views and opinions are completely irrational and he can trigger communal clashes."
