In an operation by Shyampur police in Darrang district, a poacher has been arrested from Bogoribari village in Orang National Park. The arrested poacher Zakir Hussain hails from Morigaon.

Hussainadmitted in front of police that he has killed one rhino.

Earlier,a poacher named Suresh Homreng has also been arrested by police in an operationlaunched by police and forest guards.

Zakir was also one of the poachers who was present with Suresh but after Suresh got arrested, Zakir absconded from the site but police arrested him on Friday night near Orang national park.
