Police releases three detained for alleged connection with Hizbul Mujahideen

Hojai police today released the three people that were detained from Barpeta district of Assam on Saturday in suspicion of their alleged connection with terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen.

Following a day long interrogation, police released Nasiruj Zaman of Bhella, Hemanta Deka of Borsenga and Azahar Ali from Muslimpara of Barpeta.

They have revealed that Shahnawaz Alam, the mastermind behind the Terrorist outfit's 'Assam Connection', had contacted them during the demonetisation period last year.

Alam contacted the three to help him in exchanging old currencies with the new one.
