Pratibandhi Suraksha Sanstha’s protest jolts Lastgate

Pratibandhi Suraksha Sansth staged a massive protest at Dispur Lastgate today on the last day of Assembly Session in demand of their prolonged demands. The protesters demanded the appointment of the disabled persons for the vacant posts in the 4419 vacant posts.

Many protesters were injured as the police resorted to baton charge and used  water canon  to disperse them.

Earlier,this year the government  asked Pratibandhi Suraksha Sangstha to submit the modalities for a special recruitment of differently-abled people of Assam as soon as possible.

There are 4,419 posts, reserved for differently-abled persons, still remain vacant in 54 departments.
