In Numaigarh one Presiding officer was found drunk during polling duty. Drunken presiding officer named Sailen Neog had created chaos in the booth. He was found to be intoxicated in the polling booth premises, was behaving in an extremely unruly manner.

This incident took place in Daigrung Tea garden Middle English Medium School Booth. The polling booth was listed as 74No Booth.

According to sources, Voting was also disrupted in the booth because of him.

Numaligarh police were successful in arresting Sailen Neog for being drunk during his duty hour of LS election polling.
