The Railway Police Force (RPF) on Saturday conducted an eviction drive at Maligaon near Kamakhya Railway Station and cleared numerous illegal structures including shops and residences.

The drive was primarily carried out at BG Colony and East Gotanagar.

RPF officials informed that illegal structures were evicted as part of their mission to curb anti-social activities in the area.

"We shall be conducting such eviction drives on a regular basis from now on" said an official.
