Rain to continue in Northeast with reduced intensity

As per the latest Skymet Weather reports, moderate to heavy rains continued for the past few days in East Assam and Arunachal Pradesh as a cyclonic circulation persisted over Arunachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, showers subdued in the states of Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.

Moderate to heavy rains are now being expected over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Nagaland. Thereafter, rain intensity is expected to reduce; however, scattered light to moderate rains will be experienced in Tripura and Mizoram.

After 48 hours, heavy showers will take a hold over the region, but on and off light to moderate rainfall activity will continue over the northeastern states.
